last day of school!

today is the last day of school. hip hip hooray! 1:00 can not come soon enough. i am taking luke out with one of our favorite couples to celebrate the beginning of summer with dinner and drinks. it is going to be a blast. not to mention that i get to hang out with katy this weekend too. gosh so much to look forward to.

to thank hayden's teachers... who were amazing btw... i made cookies & headbands. i mean what girl doesn't love cookies and headbands!? they turned out pretty cute!

i am pretty sure they will love them. that is if the cookies don't fall off of the sticks on the way over to the school. cross your fingers for me! hah! 

remember when we put in our sprinklers in our backyard and planted grass seed?? well i am happy to report... it is growing! yay!
our backyard still has a LONG way to go but i am so happy that at least we have a start. i am ready to be able to hang out back there and enjoy it.

aww grass. yay! simple pleasures.

now since i haven't done link love in forever i decided that i would do it today! :)

resurrection cookies picture from darby's blog

every year since i saw this post we have made resurrection cookies for Easter. it is such a good teaching tool for the kids. i feel like it is super helpful in explaining and them understanding the Crucifixion. if you have little ones you should def try it!

last nights st. pattyy's day feast was a hit. the corned beef, cabbage & red potatoes were delish. we even colored our beer's green (which i am convinced makes them taste better)... the guiness cupcakes were good too although a little overbaked...

some reasons I love blogging & link love

There are many reasons why I love to blog... but at the top of the list, its gotta be the amazing blogging community. I mean when you are writing a blog, you put yourself out there for everyone to see, and you really hope that everyone likes what they see. I have made many "friends" (only in quotes because we haven't met YET) through this blog. And I hope to make many more :) Let me give you 2 examples of wonderful people I have come across while blogging. One day in my comment section there was a link to this blog post , I hopped on over to read it and could not of been more pleasantly surprised... it was so nice & totally made my day.
Then there was this blog post that I read... and are you kidding me!? You are going to send me something?? That was suuuppppeeeerrr nice, I mean these are girls I have never even met. 
See blogging is really cool!! 
My surprise came in the mail yesterday...

Thank you so so much for the jelly! I cannot wait to use it. Seriously that was SO NICE!

This is going to be a LONG one

Brace yourselves I have a lot to say today. LOL
I can't believe that I have missed 2 days of blogging this week! What?! My mom is dying...she is my biggest fan you know...hah.
I have good reasons though. Monday my hubby & Hayden boy had no school. So we had some awesome family time. Yesterday I went shopping to hobby lobby (ummm the best store ever btw), and to this super awesome antique store... it was at an old home in the middle of no where they had an entire house full of stuff to buy, awesome stuff, oh but that's not all they also had an entire barn full. I wanted everything I mean EVERYTHING. It was soo cute, I could of just moved in.

see what I mean?? soo cute! and that is just a glimpse! 

We had bible study (lifegroup) at our house last night and Becky brought the cutest cake, it didn't only look good though it was also delish! 

My BFF Sarah and I are constantly texting... like it is probably a sickness...too much texting. She is really good at texting like a pro. I on the other hand... not so much. Here is an example... I am the green
